2025 Loftness Stump Ax™ 24SG

The Stump Ax has everything you want in a stump grinder attachment: reliability, speed, visibility and control. We gave it a heavy-duty, practical design with an industry-leading cutting wheel to help you get the job done without any downtime. It is available for low- and high-flow skid steers and excavators. And because it has the Loftness® name on it, you know it’s got to be good.

The 31SG Stump Ax has a 31-inch cutting wheel for use on higher flow skid steers and excavators with 30-60 GPM hydraulic systems with 60-120 hydraulic horsepower. The 24SG has a smaller 24-inch cutting wheel for use on lower flow systems with 17-35.9 GPM and 30-80 hydraulic horsepower.

The angled hitch and forward-reaching boom provide operators with a superior viewpoint when working. Plus, the stump grinder’s Phantom Wheel has cut-outs, which create a see-through effect for even better visibility.

The rigid mount of the Stump Ax offers a practical, reliable design capable of working faster than articulating stump grinder attachments by simply repositioning the power unit instead of swinging the cutting wheel.

A specialized discharge design with chain deflector provides excellent control to help you keep the chips down.

We gave the Stump Ax a Phantom Wheel with Tomahawk teeth from Leonardi. It’s a proven setup for high strength and fast cutting performance.
